It is very wise to have a review of the concept before starting implementation. When hardware design has started it may be difficult to do modifications. To get an external sparring partner to review your ideas can pay off in the long term.

Selecting the best FPGA

FPGAs have become very complex and it is difficult to select the right one according to your requirements. The FPGA vendors might help you, but they will only pick the best from their portfolio. Maybe the best one is from another vendor? We are not committed to any vendor and will pick the optimal vendor and FPGA for your application.

FPGA design

We can take the responsibility of your entire FPGA design or modules only. Based on our experience we can also be a review partner for your design.

We have long experience in designing complex FPGAs from different vendors. This includes high speed DSP designs, modems, telecom, Ethernet, serial interfaces and so on. Modern FPGAs have many complex functions like DSP blocks, processors, PLLs and other advanced modules that require detail knowledge to fully utilize.

For some functions we have predesigned modules (IPs) that can be reused in your FPGA.

For the register interface between hardware in the FPGA and software, we have our own toolset. This toolset generates all FPGA logic and software APIs automatically. In addition you get a unique debug port for testing and verification of the logic. This port can also be used for regression testing. This serves two purposes. It enables SW and HW development in parallel. In addition it makes it easy to retest the complete FPGA functionality when upgrading or adding new HW functionality. All this is saving valuable time to market.
